We all have our bad days – even the happiest of people.
Whether nothing seems to be going your way, you’re just in a bad mood for no apparent reason, or you’re letting a problem get to you more than you’d like. Whatever the reason, bad days happen from time to time.
Trust me, I’ve had more than my fair share of bad days and mental health issues can just make it worse.
It can be easy to just wallow in self-pity. You may feel tempted to grab a pint of strawberry ice cream while you lounge on the couch watching Bob’s Burgers all day (or is that just me?)
Sometimes lazy days like that are needed. But there are other ways to reset a bad day, too. Which brings me to today’s post. 😊
So, in case you don’t want to – or can’t – just lay around watching Netflix all day, here are 40 simple things to do when you’re having a bad day!

These are all such great ideas. I’ve done many of these myself. Taking a shower, working out or reading are my ways of helping when having a bad day.

I snuggle with my Yorkie daily even if I don’t have a bad day. He is just so comforting and it’s nice to be loved by him. Unconditional love at its finest. I’ll have to try some of these next time I’m having a bad day.

Engaging in activities like deep breathing, going for a walk, or listening to music can help calm your mind and improve your mood on a bad day. Taking time to practice self-care and prioritize your mental well-being is essential for overcoming challenging emotions and stress, so this is a good list to go through for ideas on how to do just that!
