Have you ever considered joining a book club?
It’s something I’ve always wanted to do but I never got a chance. I never found any around me, I could never find a “cozy” one online to connect with other bookworms.
So, I started my own! 🙈
I created a group called TC Book Club on Facebook (you can find it here) and I’m so excited to share it with you all!
We’ll be reading one book per month and have all of the fun bookish discussions.
But in case you’re wondering why you should join a book club, I thought I’d share 5 reasons today.
So, here are 5 reasons you should join the TC Book Club on Facebook! 💖
– You’ll find social connection
Book clubs are an affordable (or free) way to connect with others. Socializing with new people can be difficult sometimes in the modern age and this is one of the easiest ways to do it. It’s low-stress and the connection will be easier because you already know you have a common interest: books! It’s also even easier when it’s a book club FB group. 🙂
– You’ll read more (and differently)
So many of us are busy with a million other things and we don’t always prioritize reading, even though it’s something we love. But if you’re part of a book club, you’ll feel a commitment to at least read the 1 book each month. And you’ll also read differently because you’ll need to think and process what you’re reading more since you know you’ll be discussing it with others!
– You’ll hear new perspectives
One fun thing about book clubs is that you’ll hear new perspectives about what you’re reading. Maybe someone else interprets something differently based on their life experiences and it’s so interesting to hear about how many people could have different takes on reading the same thing!
– You’ll discover new books
In the TC Book Club, we nominate and vote on which book to read each month. This is a great way to discover new books and maybe read something you never would’ve thought to read before. You can discover new books, new authors, maybe even new genres. It’s a great way to broaden your bookish horizons!
– You’ll share your love of books
Have you ever read such an amazing book that you wanted to share it with everyone? I know this happens to me all the time, haha. In book clubs, you can share books you read with a bunch of other people who are experiencing the same book at the same time, which is so great! And in my book club FB group, you can share other books you read on the wall even if it’s not the book of the month. Discuss *everything* about your love of books!

Wow, this sounds like a great club!! I so wish I had the time to read more. Maybe this summer I’ll make it something that is added to my to-do list! 🙂
I am not much of a reader these days. Maybe because of all the reading I did as a kid.
I belong to a book club at my public library. I agree that it gives you the chance to read different books than what you would normally read and you also gain new perspectives. Good luck with your book club!

The idea of diving into a new book each month and then discussing it with fellow book lovers is genuinely exciting. I admire the initiative you took to create your own space for readers online, especially when the right fit wasn’t readily available!
Your group sounds so amazing since I read on a daily basis, I give myself 10 mins a day to read also I set goals it depends on the book . I continue to read more and more books that I love.
I do enjoy reading books sometimes, but my elder sister is a bookworm for sure! I am certain she would love to join this lovely book club. I’ll share the details with her 🙂.
