Hi friends! I’m sharing a post that I’m pretty excited about today.
If you read the post I shared about my 2022 bullet journal, then you should know that I’m using a yearly mood tracker this year.
And today, I wanted to talk more about mood trackers! I’m sharing what they are, why you should be using one, and how to use one.
I even created 2 free mood trackers I’m sharing with you. (:
So let’s get into it!
What is a mood tracker?
A mood tracker is a fun way to keep track of your moods and emotions on a daily basis.
Many people keep a mood tracker in their bullet journal but you can also use a regular notebook, a sketchbook, the free mood trackers at the end of this post, or whatever the hell you want to use. 😉
You just need to come up with a color to depict each different mood you may have. Each day, just choose the color that best represented your mood for the majority of the day.
Benefits of using a mood tracker:
- Mood trackers give you time and space to notice your feelings. Sometimes we can neglect our feelings when we get too caught up in our daily habits and responsibilities. Avoiding or ignoring our feelings can lead to more problems later on!
- Mood trackers can help you notice patterns or triggers. Using a mood tracker can give you insight into things that might be triggering bad mental health. This can be things such as the weather, the amount of sleep you get, your physical environment, someone you interact with, or something else. (This is even more beneficial if you take notes on your day along with using the mood tracker!)
- If you have a mental illness, mood trackers can teach you more about it. It can show you the duration and severity of your moods, and how quickly they can change. It can also show you the bigger picture when it comes to your recovery progress. This can help you understand your condition better and it can also help your physician or therapist if you’re seeing one.
