The BEST Paint Pens/Acrylic Markers Ever

Have you ever used acrylic markers?

You may or may not know by now that my favorite creative hobbies by far are drawing and painting. (:

I’ve kind of loved drawing my entire life, but I only just tried out painting last year (2020).

Since I draw and paint so often, I’ve tried many different kinds of art supplies. Different brands of colored pencils, acrylic paints, brushes, paper, etc.

But when it comes to drawing, I prefer coloring my drawings with a good marker.

If you're someone who creates art of any kind, on any surface, I 100% recommend Posca Acrylic Markers! // The BEST acrylic markers I've ever used!

I use a variety of markers, but I usually prefer acrylic markers, probably because I love acrylic paints and the look that they create.

I’ve tried many different brands of acrylic markers but I only recently tried out Posca Acrylic Markers because I had noticed so many other people using them and I wanted to know what all of the hype was about.

And let me tell you, they’re honestly the BEST acrylic markers I’ve ever used!

Even if you’re not someone who likes to draw on paper, these markers can be used on so many other different surfaces like:

  • Glass
  • Wood
  • Plastic
  • Fabric
  • Rocks
  • Canvas

They have such vivid and opaque colors. They work so smoothly too.

Posca paint pens even come in sets with darker colors, pastel colors, neon colors, etc. (I used the pastel colors in the photos here!)

Plus, the color doesn’t bleed through paper – which is a huge deal to me, haha!

They also come in a variety of sizes and colors, and I definitely plan on purchasing many more.

As you can see, I used them to color this drawing I made of Courage the Cowardly Dog – my favorite cartoon. 🙂

(Fun fact: I have a tattoo of Courage on my arm!)

I love the way the colors look in this drawing. They’re so smooth and they look more like a painting and less like they were colored with markers.

I also used these acrylic markers on canvas board to make this little Mr. Meeseeks painting that you can find in my Etsy shop (EDIT: it’s sold.) 🙂

So if you’re someone who creates art of any kind, on any surface, I 100% recommend Posca Acrylic Markers!

Have you used Posca acrylic markers? What are your favorite markers? I’d love to read your thoughts in the comments below!

[…] Posca Paint Pens – This is a case where you’re definitely paying for quality. I’ve tried less expensive brands of paint pens and they were pretty much a waste of money. But I love Posca! I currently use this set and this set. It’s about $45 for both sets but if you want to use acrylic paint in your journal as I do sometimes, I recommend these! You can read my review of them right here. […]
