Happy spring, friends! 🌸
Spring is a time of renewal and growth.
As the flowers begin to bloom and the days get longer, it’s the perfect time to hit the reset button on your life and start fresh. Well, any time is a great time to do this, but something about spring just screams “renewal” to me. (:
What I mean by this is that it’s a great time to rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit again. To switch things up and get excited about life again. To refresh your new year’s resolutions and goals, reduce your stress, and make life better. Basically, to give yourself a little fresh start!

So without further ado, I thought I’d share 7 ways to refresh your life this spring:
1. Clean and organize your environment
Spring cleaning your home is the most common way to give yourself a fresh start in the spring and it’s so effective too! Having a cleaner, neater, and tidier environment is a great way to refresh your life and your mind. A tidy environment can benefit our minds by making it more clear, more energized, and more focused. This will allow you to feel happier, more peaceful, and more productive. So it’s a good idea to get rid of anything you don’t want or need, clean your home, and find ways to organize everything. You could even spruce up your space a bit with some new decor!

2. Do a digital detox
For the same reasons that it’s good to declutter your physical environment, it’s a good idea to declutter your digital environment too. Here are some good ideas for decluttering your digital life:
- Unsubscribe from unwanted emails
- Declutter your phone gallery + computer files
- Delete apps that you don’t need/use
- Unfollow people who bring you down
- Turn off annoying phone notifications
You should also ask yourself if maybe you should unplug more. Maybe turn off your devices an hour before bedtime or decide on one day a week you’ll go without any screen time at all. There are so many great mental benefits to unplugging regularly!
3. Set (or reset) goals
Setting goals is so important when it comes to self-improvement and creating a life that you love. So if you haven’t set yourself goals, you should really consider setting some. If you have yearly goals, it’s a good idea to reflect on them regularly. Take a look at your progress and ask yourself important questions about them. Are they still relevant to you? Are they too overwhelming? Can you break them down into smaller goals? If you haven’t made any progress on one, why? Be honest with yourself; maybe you need to forget about some of them and/or set new ones. Spring clean your goals and start fresh if you need to!

4. Evaluate your health routines
Winter can be tough on us all when it comes to abandoning exercise and healthy eating. So evaluate how you’re doing when it comes to eating habits and moving your body. Buy some fresh produce, collect healthy recipes, and find an exercise that you love. If you’ve let your physical fitness go downhill for too long, try to get in good enough shape that you can enjoy all of the fun summer activities that are right around the corner. Having a regular exercise routine can have a HUGE impact on your physical and mental health. Make self-care a priority!
5. Reset your wardrobe
A new season is a perfect time to reset your wardrobe! Go through your clothes and get rid of anything that doesn’t fit, that you don’t like, or that you will never wear. You can sell or donate anything that you don’t want anymore and invest in a few new items that you love. I love thrifting new items because it costs less and it’s better for the environment. (:
6. Try a new hobby
One of the easiest ways to refresh your life and your routines is by trying something new. Breaking out of your comfort zone can help stimulate your mind and provide a fresh perspective on life. Trying new hobbies may also help you find a hidden passion! Learning something new can help stimulate your mind and give you a sense of accomplishment, too. Plus, hobbies have so many benefits for our mental health. If you need ideas for new creative hobbies that you’d like to try, check out this post for 30 creative hobby ideas!
7. Spend time outside
SO many studies have proven that spending time outside is good for us mentally and physically. It improves cognitive function, lowers stress levels, boosts our mood, and it’s even thought to be good for our hearts! The sun gives us vitamin D, the beauty and peace of nature, and fresh air. There are so many reasons we know we should spend time outside but so many of us struggle to find the time or motivation. Try to add outdoor time to your daily routine. You can go for a walk, sit and read, or play with your kiddos or pets. You won’t regret it. (:
