Hi friends, and happy June! 🌻

It’s time for another post in my monthly recap series, which I love. (:

May was a pretty okay month for me.

It wasn’t bad, but there were ups and downs.

I didn’t get as much done as I wanted, but I also spent a lot of time with family and loved ones, which is always great!

As always, here’s hoping that this month is even better for us all! <3

Here's a recap of what went on for me in May and a look at my goals for June! // May Recap (2023)

May blog posts:

  • April Recap (2023)
  • Instant Mood Boosters: 11 Happiness Hacks
  • 35 Relaxing Activities for Adults to Reduce Stress
  • 5 Reasons Why You Should Let Go of Hurt From Your Past
  • How to Be More Organized in Life (Free Planner!)
  • Mindhunter: Book Review

May art:

  • I made 4 paintings this month! – I made a lil pumpkin-headed woman, a sort of self-portrait of how I feel on and off of my anti-depressants, and 2 more abstract paintings. I’m not sure which of these I’ll be selling in my Etsy shop, but they should be up there soon! (:
  • I crocheted 2 items, while also working on a bigger 3rd project. But I made a crochet sort of pin-up headband and I wanna make more in ALL the colors, haha. I also made a lil crochet soap saver. (:

May favorites:

  • Favorite movie: Sinister 2 (I liked it a lot and I absolutely LOVE the first one)
  • Favorite recipe: These crispy buffalo chicken wraps (:
  • Favorite Amazon purchase: I’m loving this reading log journal! (pictured above)
  • Favorite book: I’m soo behind on my reading goal, but I read Beyond Order and it was one of my fav self-help books ever!

In May I wanted to:

  • Read 3 books – I didn’t get this done. I only read 1 book and I’m so behind. 😅
  • Reach 600 Instagram followers (you can follow me here!) – I didn’t get this done, either. I’m currently at 439.
  • Lose weight (not putting a number on it) – I did lose 3 lbs.
  • List all of my new Etsy products – Unfortunately, I didn’t list any but I have plans for re-doing everything.
  • Spring clean! – I got this one done!

June goals:

  • Read 3 books
  • Continue losing weight
  • Re-do my Etsy shop
  • Create a new product
  • Reach 700 Instagram followers (I’m gonna try harder, haha)
  • Go out and do something fun

They sound like goals that are manageable. Good luck to you. I usually set goals that are not manageable and then get upset when I don’t make them.

My goals for June are relatively simple: eat less & make more money, lol! I’m looking forward to spending alot more time outdoors too! I love that we can all keep each other accountable 🙂

Good luck with your June goals!

I really like your art. Instagram is so dang hard to grow! I’ll get followers and then lose a bunch.

I love that you are doing goals. I really need to get to this. I also need to read more. I had some goals for reading, but I’m not reading as much as I’d like.

My daughter has been getting back into reading, and likes to have an audio book version of her book to help her read it faster. Maybe that’ll help you too.

That’s great that you’ve been working towards list goals and any progress at all is still progress! Getting really interactive on IG can help with increasing followers too!

It is good to have some goals to reach for. You still made some great progress even not reaching everything on the list.

Love this and I love all of the goals you have set forth for yourself and so important to do that. I also do enjoy a good horror movie too. I saw you watched Sinister 2 and may have to check that one out! Thank you for sharing your recap and until next time 😉
